It’s a good option if you can’t do anything better, like a VPN. Because there is always the risk of an authentication bypass vulnerability. The less attack surface, the better.

That’s low utilization. If your ram was fully used and stuff was being frequently stopped, that’s when I would be concerned (and when you would experience wear on your SSD).
Right now you have less than a quarter used, and a couple things the kernel decided to swap out. Perfectly normal.

It’s almost always the latter. Nintendo especially likes to come up short for the first run, because it means they get free press with articles like this. I hadn’t even heard of this game until now.
And they’re not worried about missed sales, either, because anyone who really wants it will have already preordered, so they’ve already made the sale. Anyone who doesn’t care will go home and buy it online. Anyone on the fence will wait until it’s back in stock or give up and buy online. No one is going to give up and never buy it because of this.
This article is underwhelming. Despite being in English, it links to a Japanese Wikipedia article. The English Wikipedia article has all the same info as this post and more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_characters
tl;dr: some Japanese kanji from older encodings were carried forward into new ones. But some of those characters were difficult or impossible to identify. Most were archaic place names or transcription errors.

I mean the name is available now, isn’t it?
It’s two separate problems. Scrapers and heavy uploaders both consume resources.
Most new products drop in price after the initial release, because the seller wants to extract as much as possible from the people who want the brand new thing.
