By creating an account or using openmic.social (“the Instance”), you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old to use this Instance.

2. Your content, your responsibility. You are solely responsible for what you post. Content you submit is published publicly and federated to other servers across the fediverse — it may be copied, cached, and stored beyond our control, and deletion here does not guarantee deletion elsewhere.

3. Prohibited content. You may not post: anything illegal under Duval County, Florida, United States law; sexual content involving minors (CSAM); credible threats of violence; targeted harassment; doxxing (sharing private personal information); malware; or spam. Violations may be removed and may result in account action. As well as potential referral to authorities if necessary. We follow the law.

4. Moderation & appeals. We moderate transparently. If we remove content or action your account, we will tell you what happened and why. You may appeal via moderation@openmic.social.

5. Copyright / DMCA. To report infringement, contact dmca@openmic.social. We respond to valid notices.

6. Privacy. We store your account details and content to operate the service. Because the Instance federates, your public activity is shared with other servers. See https://openmic.com/privacy for details.

7. No warranty. The Instance is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind.

8. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Duval County, Florida, Unites States.

9. Changes. We may update these terms; continued use means acceptance.
