This is a bit of an overstatement. Brave has competent software developers - they created their Rust-based content blocker, and kept it as open-source. It’s one of the most powerful blocking mechanisms, often working in places where even the rightfully praised uBlock Origin doesn’t (good examples are in YouTube itself last year when they’ve made a big attempt to stop adblocking by changing the underlying mechanism of how ads are being served in videos).
They were perfectly capable of developing advanced software before AI coding agents were a thing. They’re skilled and delivering.
