    I was nodding along with you until this line here.

    Not everyone is as lucky as we are to be in a position where we aren’t struggling as much right now. It’s not entirely their fault for struggling either. What you find worthy of spending money on, others will find wasteful.

      sure, the poor will always be with us though (Plato?) as in some will always be hard done by.

      not the OP but near me (Australia) spending (inflation adjusted) is up, anecdotally cafes/restaurants around me are bursting to over flowing, new car sales are the highest they’ve ever been and and complaining is at an all-time high (the more content we are the more we complain, or so proposed some french dude whom i cant remember) in common with much of the developed world endless complaining about immigrants as well, especially from immigrants.

      it can be difficult on line to sort the genuine in need from the complainers. eg house prices are too high in Australia screams everyone (they are), a slight decline is occurring and henny penny squawking about the end of the world fir housing now.

      I’m older left leaning Gen X and i vote Green though.
