Who hasn’t seen a PS2? That must be a very young person.
I was born in the 2000s, I’ve heard of the PS2 but never had one in my life (although I had original Xboxes in my life so maybe I just had the weird family). I had a PS3 growing up, and a few of my friends had xb360s, but then I moved to PC.
The only game systems my parents had were the
or at least that’s the ones that were kept around long enough for me to get my hands on them. I haven’t seen any old consoles IRL outside of that, or at least not any that I remember 😆

Tried a friends switch 2 and it’s pretty cool but the fact my steamdeck has over 100 of my PC games WITH SAVES just makes the entire console seem kinda silly. Also there’s no soul to it which makes it even more unappealing :/
if I were to get a “console” nowadays it would probably be either a steam machine or a PC from secondhand parts in steam big picture
