I don’t own a Nintendo since Nintendo DS so I’m out of the loop.
They’ve always been violently litigious against any kind of preservation effort. Apparently this disdain for preservation goes back to the Super Famicom/SNES generation.
There was that whole thing where they changed their terms to allow them to brick Switch and Switch 2s if they decide you’re using them wrong or something.
