Since people are fairly familiar with Western artists, I’d like to mention Orange Range, an Okinawan Rock/Hop Hop band that was huge in the 2000s in Japan.

Some of you might know them because they did a bunch of anime/drama OPs, ads, and even did the official World Cup support song for team Japan (a huuuuge feat for a bunch of kids from Okinawa), but they were joking around how they still music from famous artists during an interview, and the haters just chewed them up. I personally like their music and their “stealing,” is more like “parodying,” imo.
