Lanche, the meal between lunch and dinner
“Linner” in English, as the obvious counterpart to “brunch.”
“Lanche” is completely separate entity from “jantar” (dinner).
When mixed, we call it a “lanche ajantarado” (dinnery lanche).
After that we can have “ceia” which is a late, after dinner meal.
In proper, British English, daily meals are as follows
Lanche is an afternoon tea.
What language is that?
Portuguese
Another common example in Portuguese is “saudade”. It’s the feeling you have when you’re missing something or someone.
We have “uzsonna” for this in Hungarian, but it’s mostly just young kids who have this meal :)
