    Now picture 2006. How is the image any different than today, besides the cars today being computers on wheels?

    emo kids and hip hop of the era. frosted tips, lots of hairgel.

    there was a lot of stuff that was different back then. The stuff that was fun was also in its infancy.

      Eh frosted tips were around for a good decade by then. Emo is hard to separate from alt. You didn’t name an example of the hip hop from that era so…

        Do I have to be an expert in things I dislike? Emo was definitely different to generic alternative, the swoopy hairstyle and dominating MySpace being a factor. If you want the stuff I knew more about, metal core was also big back then and thankfully pewtered out, meanwhile tech death gathered more and more steam and had it’s moment in the sun in the 2010s
