What does hiking and traveling even mean? I’m nomadic and spend most of my time hiking. The only people doing the same are retired 60+. I never see anyone my age on trails, camping, being nomadic. I’ve literally never met someone my age or younger who’s a functioning tramp. In the last year I’ve only met one couple in a schoolie who were <50.
Full-time is rare. But as far as I know, the stereotypical backpacking locations are still full of unwashed backpackers
I know this sounds bad, but I think it really is that bad: it’s code for you need to be fit and have money for trips abroad. It’s supposed to drive away the people who dislike those ideas.
If I was single and a user, I’d probably put books and tools in some of the pics for the same purpose.
