Gideon the Ninth by Tamsin Muir. Necromancers in space, an irreverent heroine, a magic system which is clearly thought out but doesn’t get explained in exhaustive detail.
I also reread this series this year. The second book always leaves me questioning so much.
Just finished the third book in the series, a friend introduced me to Muir this year and I’m looking forward to rereading them sometime to see what I didnt pick up on the first time through. Highly recommend!
