Sure those that are familiar with my posting know how much I love the Lips, and I definitely consider this one of their best albums. This album is the sound of hope in hopeless times. The album sounds incredibly happy, almost like the band had been watching too many Disney movies at time.

The showstopper on this album has always been “Feeling Yourself Disintegrate”. Now I have to admit, I had heard this song before I experienced this, but I’ve had 1 classic near death experience (died many other times, but only got the crazy DMT release at the end once) and that song is the sound of a near death experience. I wasn’t hearing it or anything, but between the lyrics and the serene instrumentation on the song, it reminds me a lot of the moment I accepted I was going to die and just wanted to enjoy the end
