I think a lot of other games protags get to! Although only on NG+ in some cases.
It’s just in V, DDS, and IMAGINE. He also appears in IV:A, but as a playable character instead of a superboss.
I mostly remember DDS, which is my favorite from the series. I don’t remember clearly but I recall a very specific strategy to down him.
