Not moving/being active a lot because of using a smartphone can take the same toll.
Possibly, but the patients I know who generally keep up with their health also tend to keep up with technology fairly well. It’s anecdotal, but my experience with these types is that they are highly dependent on their routine.
Could’ve been just coicidence and not causation in the granny’s case (which is anecdotal as well).
Still I think smartphones - or rather: some apps more than others - pose certain risks of wasting a lot of time.
If that time is missing elsewhere, it’s not good.
