The first thing I always see people say is plant a garden/trees or recycle, but I don’t have land, and I live in a red state that seems to hate recycling. The closest place to take plastic last I checked was over an hour away by car.
I know anything I do would have a negligible effect, but I’m sick of not doing anything.
Also is there anything I can do about the heat without running the AC? I try to leave the windows open, but they’re all on one side and don’t seem to allow for much airflow that way.
A lot of them you static cling them to the inside of the windows. These leave no residue because you only need to spray the window with water or a diluted window cleaner spray, then push the film up into the corner of the window using the water layer to align the film to the windowframe
The sticky ones are removable, and even double layering them only made one of the films smell a bit because the sticky surface was being baked in the mini greenhouse I had made between it and another piece of the film.
The adhesive hadn’t left anything on the glass after about two maybe three years of heatwaves.
