I am just curious about people’s taste here, since this community looks sane compared to other “loony-toons” gaming subs or forums online.

    I find these toppings unpalatable. A game hits different if the mood relates to the content. One moment’s sweetness is another moment’s bitterness.

    What I needed then and look back at now can’t compare because I’m not the same I was.

      That applies to everything, our preference changes as we experience the ups and downs of life. But - at least for me -i can still say that “age of empires” or “heroes of might and magic” are top five to me even though i used to play them 20 sometimes years ago.

      I also think new games like elden ring, hades, hollow knight and god of war are top level.

      Well, you don’t have to. It’s difficult for me too and the question can be seen in many ways. Doesn’t stop us from having fun with the discussions. It’s not really scientific. You could limit yourself to “how” you want to reply and choose games accordingly.
