This is what my upload looks like
Are you trying to achieve a certain ratio for a specific reason?
Make sure you have the right port open, which is necessary for incoming peer connections
This. Check for port forwarding if you use a VPN, you can see of your client is connectable by the colour of the globe in the bottom bar in qbittorrent
I’ve looked but nothing for bittorrent it’s all qbittorrent or ubunt got any links to like a video or something. I have NordVPN
Oh, I somehow thought they were the same.
I recommend qbit, it’s small and stable. NordVPN does not seem to support port forwarding either. I can recommend proton for that.
Why bittorent over qbittorrent?
What I have always used since pirate bay
I would recommend making the switch in that case, qbittorrent is open source which both allows you to verify that the program is working securely, & probably accounts for the reason why the advanced features aren’t available for bittorrent
ok if I get qbittorrent can you guide me through on the best download speed and after all download’s complete the best upload speed?
That aspect is above my knowledge, I would be searching the same things you would be.
Of you’re in private trackers, you’ll find that hard. Instead, seed for a long time and use the points to purchase upload credit.
point’s? Just uploaded a screen shot of uploads. Why are they not all uploading?
You can only upload if there is someone to upload to. In private trackers, it can be difficult to find enough leechers to upload more than you download. Most of the content will be sitting there with many people seeding compared to how many people are trying to download.
To balance the system, private trackers will give you points for the amount of time spent seeding. You use the points to purchase upload credit to keep your ratio up.
If you’re using public trackers (that you can access without an account) then this doesn’t apply. If you’re struggling to upload enough then it’s probably that you aren’t contactable. To transfer, one of the parties needs their port forwaded to create the connection. If you have yours forwarded you can share with anyone, if you don’t then you can only share with peers that have their port forwaded.
But it’s pretty normal to spend a lot of time seeding without anyone to actually share to.
Where do you get these points? Do I have to sign up to a site or something or how does that work?
Private trackers are private, you need account and to get an account you generally need an invite. If you don’t know anyone who can invite you then you can watch https://reddit.com/r/OpenSignups for trackers allowing applications for access.
