Minecraft is such a weird one. My son was playing it with his friends and invited me onto the server to show me around. I was pretty impressed with all the new items and biomes and stuff as it got updated god knows how many times since I was last on it.
Told his pals “sorry my dad doesnt know anything about Minecraft”. It temporarily broke me. On the one hand he’s right. On the other hand I had about 600 hours on it before he was even born.
I explained this to my kid too. When I played like a decade ago there was like 1/3rd of what there is in the game now. I played Minecraft, but it’s basically like a sequel now.
