I suppose I wouldn’t recognize the enshittification of those products. The people purchasing them regularly would though. Everyone would have their particular set of products they’d be knowledgeable enough about. All together society as a whole could have stood against this shit and smothered it before it took off rather than us having to deal with the raging inferno it is today.

I’m aware of that analogy but there was a specific dude at GE who really cranked up the heat on this corporate bullshittery a few decades ago and a whole lot of present day business leaders fucking worship him. His ideology wasn’t a secret. Had the boomers made an example of him when he was getting started we’d be a lot better off.
