This is my mother. Then she’s mad/disappointed the cake and cookies didn’t turn out well and more often than not they end up in the garbage. I do not understand her.

I think it’s been proven sugar is literally an addictive substance; it’s hard to say no when it’s not your rational mind in control.
A coworker at my previous work laughed when I said I’m addicted to sugar in the similar way he’s addicted to cigarettes. Most people seem to be ignorant about it.
I come from an ethnicity of starvation and poverty, and there’s growing research showing that diabetes actually used to be a protective adaptation.
In a similar vein this is why island nations have the highest rate of obesity. Their metabolism adapted to scarcity. But some people want to convince everyone that it’s as simple as calories-in-calories-out, as if every body works the same…

YT’s own search is garbage anyway. Whenever I try to use it, it’s completely useless. Language preferences are also non-existent anymore, it seems. Even if I set everything to English and the query is also in English, it still gives me only results in local language.

Same here, but on a different site ahem. The actor is literally listed under that name, so looking them up needs an actual query engineering to avoid looking like a pedo.
(Past the actual joke in the meme)
Same here. It’s why I can’t get through books with lots of descriptions of environment or characters. It takes a lot of brain power to visualize and it’s just the specific word I’m reading at the moment, divorced from the entire description (e.g. character descriptions, I can blurrily/faintly imagine just the eyes, then just the hair and it evaporates quickly). I’m jealous of people who can actually play movies in their head.
