Lutefisk is delicious served with warm cream and melted butter.
***For those that do not know, lutefisk is cod that has been soaked in a lye bath to change the texture of the meat and help preserve it. It was a pretty common food in Scandinavian country’s back in the day. And came with immigrants to Minnesota. Though it’s not nearly as common as it used to be. Interestingly, Minnesota imports cod from places like Norway and then makes the lutefisk and then exports it back. And it’s often sold and eaten around Christmas in parts of Minnesota.
