Project Vapour:

Physics/sim based, 1st person, Steampunk Mech Warrior type affair, set in a late 19th century alternate history Australia. Haven’t nailed down how deep the multiplayer side should go.

The “MacGuffin” is a weird radioactive mineral that forms a crust on contact with some component of the atmosphere that contains all radiation but gets very hot in doing so. This mineral is only found in the centre of mainland Australia.

Getting there is difficult, building railways proves impossible, so steam powered walking machines ending up being the defacto method of transport over the terrain. Many nations and other groups want a piece of the action, much scope for shenanigans of all magnitudes, rewriting of global history, etc…

Maybe, one day.

One could argue that the fine is merely the cost of doing business given the way it’s structured and what it actually costs the company.

ie. That fine should arguably be significantly higher to have any substantial effect on the company’s behaviour.

Paid over ten years.
