Yea it’s more of a bucket list thing, but in a respectful way. I want to have fun WITH that person, not have fun BECAUSE of that person.

No. Because sound is the brain’s perception of vibrating air pressure.
No brains = no sound.

How do you know? You weren’t there. Well… Not in your current form anyway.

He’s right you know. The answer is yes.

I don’t believe that for second. There’s a lot of fucking stars in the milky way.
And we’ve cut down a hell of a lot of trees.

As somebody who has sometimes been suicidal. I agree with this.
It’s basic Darwinism. If I don’t have the tools to survive, then I’m not going to. There’s no hard feelings.
I’m sure people will think about me, as much as they did about that courtesan who died on Rue Helene in 1746. Who’s that you might ask?
Exactly.

Do we have any proof that she hasn’t been resurrected in another universe?
I’m not being facetious here. I’m deliberately trying to point out the gaps in our own logic.
We are consciousness, in a universe that each day seems to be more and more like an infinite simulation and we have no idea why.
I genuinely, don’t know if she’s dead. None of us do. Which makes this case rather bizarre.

Honestly, I just don’t care.
I am a monkey, I live on a rock, in the middle of an infinite empty space, that none of the smartest monkeys on this rock can figure out.
I am part of a species that has spent its entire history killing itself in the most horrifying and ghastly ways for the most benign reasons that the greatest war approaches us and everybody is so accepting.
The planet I live on is slowly becoming inhabitable to point where the thought of kids is pointless. And banks have used to many money glitches that currency across the globe is going into hyperinflation.
I really really cannot illustrate how much I do not give a fuck about the cadence of written words in that small space of relief I get from the inevitable destruction looming in a completely absurd and pointless existence.

The technology has emerged before the infrastructure.
This is a fairly generic complaint that humans have had for 1000s of years.
I wouldn’t worry about it.

After enough time, you’ll want to do it daily. Just make it easy for yourself, I’ve gone years without, and years constant, it ebbs and flows.
Don’t be strict either. If a session has been particularly hard, I’ll give up, go and do something else for 10 minutes to clear my head, sometimes even have a cigarette, and then when I come back it’s easier to get in the zone.
Best of luck

If anybody is in the blue bit. I recommend meditation.
It’s only a life changer. I genuinely do not understand how people can have good lives without it. And tbh, when you find out who does and does not meditate, you understand 100% why their lives are like they are.
But let me sell it to you properly, when you get good at it, and even most of the time just out of luck when you’re starting out; it’s like a special place of peace and relaxation you just cannot get anywhere else. It’s like turning off the world, or like sleeping, but being awake to know this is your place and nothing can touch you.
Seriously, it’s underrated AF.

It never will be.
This asset can be used as collateral for leverage. So now the owner has it, they can use it to put up maybe around $30,000,000 if they have a good enough relationship with a broker.
Because of the way America is right now too, they can give trump a 10m cut if he slides a particular stock one way or another.
President gets 10m, punter gets got knows how much, and nobody is any the wiser.
It’s the same with art, but with art, it’s a lot more speculative, which is why you have so many god awful contemporary pieces, because again they’ll pay an appraiser to say it’s worth 100m when it’s a handful of beans on a canvas, and then use that as collateral.
These are just infinite money glitches for the rich.
In all seriousness, there’s nothing stopping you and your friends and their families from doing the same thing, but because it’s not the system they designed they’re going to be skeptical of it and not want to do that.

If voting mattered they wouldn’t let you do it.
Too many people have too much power and control over the system. We just have the illusion of influence.
Petitions are the perfect example, it gives people the illusion that they’re having an effect. But in reality, when those 10k petitions are hit, it’s up to the houses discretion whether they even want to talk about it.

Yea I’m all for it.
It’s a toxic place full of political propaganda and dangerous mechanics designed to hack their dopamine systems.
Is it the best option? No. Digital literacy about the effects of spending time online, and being taught what it is they’re actually giving their attention would be best.
But this will have to do for now.
If this doesn’t happen, we’re going to have a whole generation of people who never learnt to think for themselves, have absolutely no impulse control whatsoever and who knows what else.
The ways they find around it, again, are good - because they’ll probably be free from agendas by other state actors and profit at their expense.
What can I do about it? No point complaining
