Stop trying to move things towards a positive outcome instead of constant negativity? No, I don’t think I will.
EDIT: Also AI upscale is not AI slop. One is done locally on your hardware by using vector logic to increase the resolution of an image. The other is theft of a number of images to “create” a new one while burning gigawatts of electricity. The fact that some marketing dickwad slapped AI on both does not make them the same thing.
I used your screenshot to recreate OP’s image. I think fixing AI slop with human curated shitposts might be a fun way to counter AI slop, rather than beating up on OPs who just want a laugh. Just a fun idea.
Since there is a debate on whether or not the image is AI slop, I took it upon myself to use the 9+ year old image posted in the comments to recreate the meme. Congrations Lemmy on crowdsourcing an “AI free” shitpost! We should make this the default response rather than beating up on OPs. Make a fun activity out of a foul.

What’s your point? The Bodyguard was a massive hit and fully carried by Whitney Houston. I acknowledged that upfront. I also pointed out the next movies in his filmography that he needed to carry himself. The box office numbers do not reflect, in any way, the impact of Truth or Dare + Sex.
Before the movie came out, Costner could do no wrong. He was such a dick and Madonna roasted him so hard that he lost a lot.of his luster. The Bodyguard came out where he got carried by Whitney Houston, then Perfect World, which was a good movie thanks to Clint Eastwood directing, but basically an indie film in sensibility. His big movies that followed Truth or Dare, where he needed ro carry rhe movie were Wyatt Earp, Waterworld, and The Postman, but people were not showing up for him anymore.
Maybe it wasn’t Madonna alone, but I remember a lot of people talking about that Costner interaction ans how fake and cringe he he across.

Cool cool. So, never play videogames given that upscaling is common. Never use an iPhone or android camera given that the same tech is used AND every image they produced is a composite created by the same vector graphics technology. Got it. 👍
