Yes and no. They often use GPS assisted by beacons. Those beacons are often set up using both high quality GPS but also surveying tools, and you might have seen markers in the ground on cities which was placed using very well calibrated tools so it has a well known very precise precision. Those beacons are easier to track for other machinery because they are so much closer so the radio signal is much clearer and angular precision is much better
There’s literally whole projects to map out movements of continents and the change of the geoid shape of earth, although it takes a few years for it to matter in most cases

Copyright already deals with that, although it’s annoying as fuck. You’re only liable if you copied, independent creation is valid and protected.
And you need to prove your own origin of you creation if you get sued, showing it’s not a derivative of the original (or prove it’s sufficiently transformative for fair use)

China’s state-sanctioned data collection and intelligence apparatus is leaky. We have observed a vast ecosystem of corrupt insiders siphoning data from China’s state-sponsored data collections apparatus and selling it on the black market. This threat activity most acutely affects Chinese citizens, whose personal data is readily available to any paying customer.
Cybercriminals from the Sinosphere appear to be increasingly present in Western digital crime spaces. This trend seems to be somewhat driven by Chinese scam and smishing actors aggressively and successfully targeting overseas victims. We frequently observe Chinese-language actors re-sharing (or sometimes taking and attempting to re-sell) data breaches from English-language forums in Chinese-speaking communities.
Countries like China rely a lot of independent local groups doing the dirty job so they can shield their national reputation by “taking care of” individual groups as they become a liability. Russia and others do it too. Everybody hacks everybody. Some of these groups target both foreigners and their own. Sometimes for domestic spying, sometimes just for plain scams.

That’s not what he said. There’s a difference between crimes that can’t easily be traced to you and crimes that trigger outrage against you. China acts against the latter. Much of their consumer rights enforcement is about appeasement, not about actual rights, so you only see big action when there’s scandals about serious harm and people effectively being robbed. And you better not talk about it when it’s “done”.

You don’t use those kinds of sensors non-stop from one calibration. You recalibrate and update maps regularly. Then if you lose some sensors you can still read reckon with high enough precision for weeks
