  • Ah, thanks. I can confirm I can recall facts as well as also replaying stuff in my head from any perspective I choose and modify whatever too.

The first sentence is also very interesting. It’s what autists and adhs people oft say, that our brain is experienced as own entity with things that are not to our liking but we have to obey its rules.

    Fascinating!

  • This is very interesting and fascinating to read. But I have to admit it’s not easy for me to follow.

Bluntly (which is a quirk of mine so please don’t be offended) I’d think all of what you mentioned are levels of imagination and mental state I use at will. But I am also very much aware of the possibility of me not being able to fully understand the implications hence throwing more things together than I should.

  • Nice, thanks!

When I imagine things it ranges from being more or less able to see what I am imagining and up to being so deep in thought that I lose connection to my external senses, seeing hearing and everything. Especially when relating to situations or remembering.

So from possibly you speaking about this with others more in depth was there a key thing where you said ‘wow yeah that’s different for me’ or is it more of a ‘similar, but different everywhere’ thing?

  • Talking from a European perspective, worldwide view here.

We know AI programming is not viable on the professional field. Some companies are not up to date with that yet though.

So I hope when the AI bubble ends in one way or another you will be needed and wanted.

Speaking on a personal level, if you’re into computers and not just there for the money you’ve got an advantage because those only there for the money are often a bit lacking for the job.

Just saw your other answer. I think security and networking is always a hot topic and open. Currently working in exactly those fields. Ama if you wish.

  • Hey, thanks for continuing. I have to say, you’re possibly right with overthinking. That’s what we do. And hence, we often jump around to the point of getting lost in our own line of thinking - the latter being exactly what happened.

I am now trying to read through the fragments and have a very hard time following myself. If we were sitting together it might be easier, doing this asynchronous is hard work. So thanks for putting up with that and your effort.

Let me do some jumping around mobile and desktop and see of I can follow up.

    Follow up edit:

OK I found where we disconnected. So I answered your op question basically and included autism and thought of that as self contained answer as if it was clear.

So it’s kind of meta and apologies for that, it is convoluted. Having deep(er) knowledge of something one tends to miss out explanation of these things, which adds to the issue.

So the connection to autism with misunderstandings lies in autism itself, this literally are the social difficulties which are documented in medical papers.

Now, what might throw you off is the expected ‘that happens to everyone’…and while that is true it’s one of the discussions we have regularly. It’s just on a totally different level.

Its complicated. But it is there, and I didn’t want to hijack your topic or cause bother.

And while this explanation might likely be ‘eh’ for you, don’t worry, hopefully you’ll never have to worry much about it in your life and that’s perfectly fine.

  • Well of course you can, as some are doing. The point being you can hardly complain of being treated bad if you freely choose rules and morale on your own, why shouldn’t the other side too? It’s a morality thing.

‘I’m behaving like an ass, but they’re not allowed to’.

I still agree thst Nintendo took a few bad turns and that corporations are inherently evil.

And lastly, if you refuse to pay you should morally drive the point home by refusing the product. It makes sense and hits harder on multiple levels commercially instead of adding to the hype and everything by still using it. Nevermind the legality.

  • Thanks (honestly) for clearing that up.

See - that’s the issue. There is this inherent obvious connection on the op topic that you can’t see. And that’s fine, you’re NT. However I am not, hence you’re saying I am an asshole for not elaborating a point you can not understand. It’s literally beyond NT understanding.

As is many understanding of yours to ND. And when trying to go into this, I, or rather, we are the assholes. So of course we resign. There is this gap in understanding that I even linked and it’s still not enough.

So, there you go. I am sure it will not or never be enough. It’s just that on the opposite side you as a standin for NT are behaving like assholes, but both sides are literally incapable of getting some points across.

As said, still thanks for your answer. Be kind to people, you might not understand them. (unrelated to me)

Edit oh by the way: weird is the perfect notice of autism by NT. Just FYI

  • I’m far off defending Nintendos action at this point and this just adds to the pile.

However those emulation comments really piss me off. We have a German saying that would translate to the English have your cake and eat it too, I believe?

Just don’t give Nintendo money and ignore their current games (tbh there’s so few interesting non S2 upgrade games anyhow…). And there are so many platforms and games you do not need their shitty practices and run out of games.

It’s a major hipocrisy to damn them and then go that route (for current still being sold games, I am not talking about retro or even Nintendo online!).
