Here in lithuania, the average pay is around 1400€ after taxes I think, the minimum works out at 840€. 2000 would be a sizeable sum, more than enough to live comfortably

Because registering to vote is not a thing here. Unless you mean register a party as in starting one? In which case a soc-dem party already exists in my country and it is hot garbage :p

I saw this asked on reddit at one point and I don’t remember the exact number, but I think it was a couple of dozen times above what would kill a human

As a non-binary person I do appreciate the ability to have non-gendered words in english :3 my native language has everything as male or female which is… Ugh
Also funny thing about the spelling reform - we had one here in like… the 19th century, though it was not because our spelling had gotten vastly inconsistent or anything, the main thing that was changed was that a lot of sounds written with polish inspired digraphs (sz, cz etc.) were replaced by czech inspired š, č, ž etc… and also the letter ł which was also a polish influence was removed… which is fair, we didn’t really have a use for it. We also still have the digraph ch :3
Either way, we used to often have things like old 18th or 17th century papers in our textbooks to read, and they were still perfectly readable with the old spelling if you knew those few changes, so it wasn’t a major change, though I do think it was a good one

Neither word is of french origin, im pretty sure :3
Anywho, yeah I know a large part of why english spelling is the way that it is is because of things like the great vowel shift, which came after the spelling standardizations, as well as the mix of germanic, latin, and french (norman) influences all coming with their own spelling rules (as well as one off words borrowing spellings from other languages like spanish), but as someone coming from a language with pretty consistent spelling where loan words are adapted phonetically, the whole mess of having to know the origin of the word to even begin to vaguely grasp at the spelling was an adjustment lol.
I mean, the weirdest spelling related quirk in my native language is that we have letters referred to as “nasal letters” which are not in any way pronounced nasally hah :3 compared to english, it’s a walk in the park

I spell lose as lose :3
When I was learning english I used to confuse the spelling though, cause the word lose to me sounds like the same sound as the double o in other words :3. Though once I got used to the weird english spelling rules I fixed that problem. Now if only I could remember which way round desert and dessert are…

We? Can’t relate :3
I used to always make minecraft skins based on how I looked :3 there’s a few of them that even had my school uniform lol
My current one is a modified version of a skin I found, but I still picked it based on various characteristics of myself

Steve I guess? Unless it’s my own minecraft skin :3 either way if we take the feats the minecraft character is capable at face value…

I tried a lot of stuff, and a lot of it ended with me throwing up, or coming close… there’s just certain textures I can’t handle and certain flavours don’t enjoy, so seeing anything that is similar to something I know I won’t like makes me less willing to try it, especially because trying new food usually entails either spending money on it, which then makes me feel horrible for throwing it out if I can’t handle it, or makes me feel like I have to force it down; or it involves someone buying/making the food for me, in which case I have a similar situation where I don’t want to offend them, so it’s easier just to say I don’t want to try something or im not hungry etc. and avoid it in the first place

All the ones I can think of are for individual games rather than general launchers lol. And third party mod launchers that you have to add your own games obtained elsewhere :p
For me steam input the big one that pulls me towards steam; seamless proton integration too, but that one I could handle losing, steam input on the other hand I think is one of the best input remappers out there, I even added all my non-steam games to steam to make use of it too haha

Yeah, it’s one of those things where one could argue that steam is successful in part to being entrenched (all of your friends are on steam and all of your games are on steam, so might as well continue using steam), but also… other game launchers are just worse? The fact steam has a lot of useful features, as well as surprisingly few scummy incidents in its history just makes it not worth switching off for me :p

All my teachers were fine with it honestly :3 at least after primary school… if you corrected them they might’ve given you extra credit
But the general notion of saying something correct and people saying that that’s wrong, and not knowing why still stands

What in the fuck? Never seen that, but I wouldn’t bother at that point
Depends on how engaging the chain is I suppose :3 sometimes I read the first one, and I can already tell it’s bullshit all the way down, sometimes there’s decent content to be seen
