This is possibly a temporary solution, but if they’re restructuring, ask them if there’s a place in the new structure that you could fit into, even if it’s for a lower amount of pay. If applicable, emphasize your knowledge of the organization, procedures, processes, etc - all the nuanced institutional knowledge that you have. Even if the new job isn’t directly in your skill set, even if it’s a pay cut or part-time/less hours, it can buy you time to look for a new job.

Food processor. I have issues with my hands and the ability to slice, chop, and blend items with minimal hand use is just fantastic.

When I left reddit, I asked for accounts on both tildes and kbin. Except tildes was onboarding people in batches, so I’d been active on kbin for like a week before I could create my tildes account, and I just never got momentum over there because of it

Lmao, I misread the title as “Crows begin removing Confederate statues” and I was both confused and intrigued. The actual article is much less interesting.

Lmao, isn’t that Zuckerberg’s motto - Move fast, break things.
I made a batch of really good salsa over the weekend. It took me hours (I’m disabled atm), but it was a really good batch with incredibly fresh local tomatoes, peppers and onions.

Lightly edited:
Just as the Earth rotates around the Sun, the Sun rotates around the center of the galaxy. […] this means we take around 230 million years […] to complete an orbit around the galactic center of the Milky Way. […] sharks, which evolved around 450 million years ago, have hitched a lift on our planet around the galaxy twice. To put it another more flattering way, they are around two galactic years old.

Armadillos are the main cause of the spread of leprosy in the southeastern United States.
For one hour each year, the clocks in part of Florida and part of Oregon have the same time.
Sharks have been around the galaxy - twice.

Look into foot peels.
Do you have a brand that you like?
It sounds like you know what the basic problem is: you find something, and take it as a part of your actual identity, letting it define you.
Instead of focusing on just one thing and labeling yourself with it, do many things - and have them be things that you do.
And sit down and think about what you’re finding so attractive about these things, then work against that attraction. Is it because these groups offer a community? Then don’t link yourself to just one community. Is it because it gives you a pre-set list of approved behaviors and opinions? Explore beyond the approved. Is it because you’re not sure who you are and this makes you easier with yourself (something we all go through)? Go out and do a variety of things - do things by yourself, do them with others, go places and do things that you wouldn’t normally.
Don’t focus exclusively on one group or type of groups, look for a range of groups and activities. And if there’s something interesting that you can’t find a group for, go do it anyway, just because it interests you.
Good luck!
