How do you feel about the British pronunciation of Jag-you-ah? Assuming you’re from a “Jag-waah” area of the world :)

Not sure what country you’re getting angry in, but in the UK at least, they “officially” changed the pronunciation from “hyundai” to “hyunday” with a series of adverts a couple of years ago.

They were literally called Hyundai (i.e. with high-un-die pronunciation) in all their own adverts and everything for the last 40 or 50 years. Of course, basically everyone still calls them Hyundai.

I don’t think ignoring a companies “rebranding advert” really suggests anything about someone’s knowledge or care.

I’m not quite sure what the fuss is about with this one - I thought it was quite a clever joke, and I don’t really think there’s anything distasteful about it. Still, the game is of no interest to me whatsoever.

“I already work at that job but they’re firing and re-hiring at a lower salary for the same work” must be pretty high up.

We use the phrase “self-unemployed”

As well as accelerate and brake, they’re very useful for aircraft rudders or some directional thrusters in spaceships.

I can’t think of much beyond that though. I think the analogue up-down-left-right sticks are a lot more commonly used - if only for moving a character in 360° rather than 8 directions only.

That’s kind of fascinating - though it’s only about 1/10th of the amount by weight - so something like 75g of protein would need ~300g of Steak or ~3kg of Broccoli (about 10 full heads of Broccoli).

For plant based proteins, you’re probably better off with beans.

Some of it sold for about 6000 Canadian Dollars about ten years ago.

So though the price has likely gone up a bit by now, you still might get something for £6,000 or whatever - it just might be kitten armour or mouse armour.
