It’s pretty interesting article. I actually dropped my Chad GPT subscription a few years ago and switched a locally hosting my own Ollama server for like privacy concerns.
I’m still going to continue to use my locally hosted large language models but I don’t know, its interesting to know that chat gpt seems to not care about user data except for training or making money.
I thought it was interesting how the article said that if ChatGPT was a human it would have been charged with murder.
Obviously I don’t think ChatGPT is a human but it does raise questions about the kind of laws regarding LLM and the companies behind them.
Like at what point do AI companies have a responsibility to step in in these scenarios?
The game VR chat, is you have a decent computer. Doesn’t need to be a full on gaming PC and you don’t need a VR headset. I started playing on my basic laptop I used during college. It had 16g of ram, and I don’t remember the processor but it didn’t have a problem with VR chat, when it could really run Skyrim for example.
Really fun game to meet people all over the world. There’s a lot of people and kids goofing off on there too, but I’ve had a lot of genuine and nice convos and connections too, especially during the pandemic
I know there are plenty of efficient single gpu models out there, but I still assume most people are using data centers for image generation.
Also there is just something off putting about the style of most AI generated images, audio, and videos for me.
I’ve seen very few instances of very specific and fine tuned LoRAs/workflows that I would consider art/acceptable use. But the majority is just wasted electricity, rage bait, misinformation, scams, and slop
We are all waves on a single ocean. It some ways it is silly to compare one wave to another because they are just a single body of water
I’m not fluent in second language or anything, but I think I have learned the most when immersed, like I visited the Philippines for a month and started to pick up some Tagalog. Or during two years of grad school, I had a lot of Nepali friends and slowly started to understand more Neplai words and phrases
They should force them to open source their models, datasets, and research
