I worked at a bank and our customers had to pay more money the more checks they brought in. Won’t be surprised if they started charging for that too.

Sony DSLR apps are all non Linux. Some folks like me are forced to use Windows or Mac.

I have the a7iii and A9iii. They both use two different garbage phone app. When I’m double holstering, I have to have both apps open simultaneously. Or else one or both loses gps.

That’s too bad. I wish framework makes DSLR and use open source firmware.

At least you can download lantern and unlock done stuff.

I wish my Sony DSLR has some open source firmware. I hate it has to use the Sony app to connect to the GPS on my phone. I hate that my phone sometimes put the app to sleep and I end up with no GPS info.

Here is the real answer. You can annihilate the living hell out of somewhere with drones, missiles, nukes. But unless you have actual boots on the ground defending the position you’re in, that is not claimed territory.

Ohhhh this pisses me off soooooo much. I decided to do family photos and specifically asked for the raws before I went into the shoot. They still gave me a hard time after the shoot to get the raws. They gave me a stripped down .dng without any camera settings. Ohhhh that pisses me off so much.

Pppffffssshhhh… 5k?!?that is hobby level money. I’m over 15k into just my lenses and I do this as a hobby and shoot friends and family for free.

Pro tip for any hiring managers out there. At the end of your job description, prompt inject something that is totally unrelated to the job at the end of the job posting. So far I have been able to catch 75% of the sloppy AI applications using this method. For me I added something like, a nice to have is to explain and understand an Q shaped team structure.

AI gets super creative with what that means(means nothing). For the people who do get through, that is usually their first question to me.

100% agree. The best a lowly peon like me can do is to try and hire junior devs instead of replacing them. Managers like me have to incorporate it into the teams workflow. If I don’t do it, I don’t have a job.

Fun fact, batteries DO become lighter when they discharge. But obviously not like fuel. But it’s still a fun fact.

Real talk. AI isn’t the problem. AI is nothing but a tool. It’s corporate greed that is the problem.

I use AI. It’s a fantastic tool. My QA time is slashed in 1/2. Reports that I have to do weekly is done so quickly, it might as well be instant. What used to take my 6 hours. Instant. . Everything is more efficient.

But it doesn’t replace humans. It just shifts the tasks. Instead of building reports and power points, I’m spending more time training my junior devs. It frees up my time to do other tasks is more important.

I live in Taiwan and the humidity kills books and makes them damp and stinky. So some places our books are wrapped.
