Question: what value do self driving taxis add to regular taxis? I can’t think of any. All that money poured into something that solves no problem at all and just creates more, killing human jobs in the process. It’s so stupid.

I mean it’s called a lemmy instance? Or any of the other free federated ways to share things there are. It would be their own domain, so their posts would clearly come from them, federated and re-shared.
I actually never understood how some guys have apparently a hard time simply aiming. I never had a problem with that in my life myself.
Well for starters it’s probably an embedded browser made to look like an app so there you go, 100mb for that. The google / apple libraries, 20mb, telemetry, 50mb… Then don’t forget the image cache on the device that they will never clear.
Actually it gives no convenience, only incovenience. When I lived there for 2 years about 20 years ago and everything was cash and you could at any moment just hail a taxi, a minibus, one these bycicle guys, tell where you want to go, give cash, it was very convenient.
