Does anyone still knows how to play it?

European guy, weird by default.
You dislike what I say, great. Makes the world a more interesting of a place. But try to disagree with me beyond a downvote. Argue your point. Let’s see if we can reach a consensus between our positions.

I understood it has such. That is the kind of crap furniture that keeps people hostage and degrades their quality of life.
Thank you for your kind words and I wish you the best as well.
Even synthetic wood can make good furniture nowadays, if one is willing to put in some work.
I’m in the process of building a few bookshelves and we opted for OSB. Well sanded and varnished, it turns into an unusually solid material. And it takes a beating. I involved my kids in process and it has been a near little project.
I just make the calculations for the parts I need and have them cut at a carpenter, that also sells me board. I bring everything home and do the finishing, which is the most expensive part.
Next, I will go into solid wood. And into a more daunting project.
So that is what that little icon means. Thanks.
I’ve seen tables like that very carefully split in two smaller ones. It took serious crafmanship but the end result retained the same “soul”, pardon the expression.
One of those old fashioned solid wood dining table for twelve?
It’s a shame. I wanted to make a solid wood table at some point in my life but four to six seatings will be more than enough.

The irony of this is unavoidable. The experts have reached the conclusion the rest of the mortals have been warning on for months.
Those, I think, are called mementos.
Now that is a story!
That was going really well unril it wasn’t.
Nicotine can be hard to clean. I wish you all the luck with that.
Not in my country. Workers would travel around, even work away from home for months, but always returned home. There wasn’t much movement within the country and when the dictatorship settled in things just got harder. The country was mostly rural then and nearly every peasant had a peace of land to sow some potatoes, cabbage, turnips and onions, along with some vines for wine. Leaving that notion of security was very hard. Hence the strangeness of a branch of the family leaving their origin.
I can respect that.
I’ll be using the birth, marriage and death certificates my country issues to go beyonf my own memory. This will give me at least 75 years of reliable and easily accessible information. At some point, I’ll have to query my national library where such registries are kept for historical purposes.
There are a few things I want to put a rest to, like the story of an uncle, who alledgelly spent 18 years in prison and a supposed move of a branch of the family from one area to another in the country. Some 90 years or more in the past, it was uncommon.
How long does the VHS survives?
They drowned the cat? That’s disturbing.
Friends, other relatives?
All the luck on that!
