Exactly but I think for most people social media = the ones used by the masses, the “social normiedia”, like Facebook and Twitter.

Now that Saudi Arabia basically owns Twitter that will never happen again. Not to mention when they hacked in ~10 years ago to get data on dissidents.

The authenticator requirement was for regular MFA, with passkey you can use others like yubikey. BUT your admin can lock it to certain vendors so they could have selected Microsoft only.
I actually forgot that LesPAC was a thing, I’ll check it out.
