I stupidly only got 32GB and figured I would get more later because I spent more to get a good GPU. 32GB is feeling pretty limiting at the moment, but I’ll just have to deal with it given the current prices.

I built a new PC around that time for the same reason. I am kicking myself for not getting more ram.

From what I just read, initially only the top end Motorola phones will support GrapheneOS starting in 2027. So chances are all the existing phones won’t get support. Also, this sadly means it is unlikely that they’ll have a headphone jack. I am truly gutted.

I can see it not working for everyone, but I already used custom ROMs and I don’t use basically any services on my phone. If you’re using GrapheneOS and using Google Play Services in a sandbox, it does get quirky and break some things. I didn’t want Google anywhere near my phone anymore. As soon as I can use the OS without a Pixel I’ll be doing that since I hate that I am even using their hardware.

I am stuck with a shitty pixel with no headphone jack right now since my previous pixel, which DID have a headphone jack, finally died. I am not buying a new smartphone without one. Fairphone touts repairability and longevity, but by forcing people to either use shitty bluetooth headphones or put double duty on the charging port using a dongle is going to cause more waste. I am using a DAP for music right now so i can use my headphones, but it honestly sucks needing to use two devices when my phone would be perfectly capable of doing it had they not followed Apple’s greedy lead.

I’ll be that guy. No headphone jack, no sale. As others have said, I’d love GrapheneOS as well, but I know why that isn’t in the cards.

Yep, it is free. I am actually fine with the OG graphics because of nostalgia, but I wouldn’t expect someone that didn’t love the original to do so.

Probably always, but I like to think that the company that gave me Arena and Daggerfall wasn’t dogshit yet.
Those aren’t official joysticks, but I am somehow doubtful they could be any less shitty than the real deal haha
Hmm, OK yeah I guess I can see that. I wish it wasn’t such a pain in the ass to hook an atari to a modern display, I really need to try this out now.
That sounds frustrating, it never occurred to me to try playing with the paddles.
Discman/Walkman thing aside, they were some games that made excellent CDs. The Wipeout games and N2O are the first to come to mind.
Hey, TI bros o/
I technically got the TI after already having an Atari though.
Are you intentionally making him play the worst FF game as punishment? /s
Yeah, the atari joysticks were garbage. Only my better third party joysticks held up, the official ones died when I was still a kid and the console was still being sold.
My PS1 lasted for 10 years of heavy use, but it still wasn’t indestructible. That’s a term I reserve only for the Atari 2600. I dug mine (I actually own two) out of the ashes of my house that burnt down. Only the atari, a few carts (2600 and NES) and my doc martens survived that fire. Its hilarious that they still work.
edit: the irony is that the infamous E.T. game remained unscathed. You can’t kill pure evil.
I still have mine. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to get ready to lay down in my great pyramid.
I was just coming to comment this. Slop telling us not to paste slop. How nice.
