A few days ago, the U.S. government sanctioned A/I for supporting “extreme far-left antifa terrorists”. If you didn’t know, A/I is an antifascist and anticapitalist group based in Italy, and they host a lot of services (like email, website hosting, etc.) run through donations. Their policy states that they are against racism, sexism, militarism, homophobia, and transphobia, and you have to agree to those principles to use their services. Their website and mailing server has been taken down, and unfortunately, that also means my email no longer works. It’s kind of insane how quickly the American government can take down internet services they don’t like. A/I has denied all of the allegations by the Trump admin, and rightfully so, they’re just a digital services provider who respect your privacy and are against fascism and bigotry.

I still need to use email, so what’s a good alternative email provider that doesn’t profit off of my data? I have used Disroot in the past and had good experiences with their services, so they are currently my fallback. I have ruled out Proton and Tuta, as neither support IMAP properly.

edit: It appears that it’s only the autistici.org domain that has been blocked (the registrar for the .org TLD is American), the services are still running (though my email is unable to receive mail, I can only read existing mail). A/I is working towards providing users with a new mail address. If that doesn’t pan out, I’ll probably go with Disroot.

    Incorrect. Certain entries can be delisted. Google is e.g. using https://lumendatabase.org/ for that.

    I have no idea what this discussion has to do with e. g. Planatir as they don’t provide hosted services to users.

    To stay on the topic: non of these services explicitly allow or endorse terroristic content on their platform.

    If you can’t differentiate that, you are either brainwashed or a fascist yourself

      By default they list everything. You can contact them and remove stuff, but by default all the smut, trash and bullshit of the web gets indexed. A/I would remove illegal content too, but this wasn’t even tried. Don’t deflect.

      Palantir provides infrastructure, same as the others. They fit well, especially when viewed from the perspective of who you are allowed to provide services to on basis of ideology.

      A/I also do not explicitly allow or endorse terroristic content. They provide infrastructure for communication to people, same as any other hoster or mail provider. Only difference is their antifascistic stance and that they have been repeatedly the target of repressive actions.

      And no, only the people who attack antifascist infrastructure based on the words of a nazi government - You know, the currrent US administration - are fascists or fascist bootlickers. Need examples?

      • Vance’s endorsement of groups like the AfD, Orban et. al (AfD has been recognized as an extreme-right organization by the authorities in Germany
      • The reconstruction of the DOJ to serve and protect the executive and ignoring orange fuhrers pedophilia
      • The infiltration of the supreme court by christofascists
      • The blackmailing of TV networks which have comedians critical of Trump on air using the FCC, treatening to pull their licence
      • The misuse of military assets for PR stunts involving Kid Rock and iBrainworm Kennedy, leading to the dismissal of peopleinvestigating this event
      • The abduction of a foreign head of state to enrich Trump and his buddies
      • The witchhunt on minorities like somalians in Minnesota, drag queens and trans people nationwide
      • The ignorance of the resulting rise in violence and even murders of PoC, minorities and democrats by far-right groups, because it is a positive thing for them - other countries would have started organized action against this amount of far-right terror.
      • The designation of Antifa as a terrorist organization (do you realize who is the only group which sees Antifa as terrorists? I´ll let you in on a secret: the only people who perceive antifa as terrorists are fascists)
      • The assault on public education at large and the attempt at rewriting history, trying to color slavery as something positive for PoC
      • The bullying of every ally the US ever had on the international stage, similar to how Hitler started bullying the countries surrounding Germany in the leadup to WW2
      • The threats of invasion, annexation and exposure of long-term allies to enemy aggression

      I could go on far longer, but i do not want to waste more time at you. If you are just a brainwashed, lost soul, stop watching the crap Youtube and Meta are throwing in your face, you are too easily influenced to discern the difference between neonazi propaganda and reality. If you are a true believer in that shit, my condolences go to the part of your family that doesn’t want to have contact with you anymore (probably your kids and ex-wife), and the rest of what i would put here is intentionally self-censored, but you will probably get the gist.
