How does this work for anything made by more than one person, especially projects by a very large team?

Also every job I’ve ever worked had a clause in the contract like “anything you make on company time is our intellectual property”, which makes sense
I thought that too, but without a minimum duration clause regardless of the death of the author, nobody would publish the works of a, say, 90 years old artist, even if their work totally deserves it.
