    given that Disney world is basically reclaimed swamp, I suspect there is no underground. otherwise this scenario seems perfectly likely.

        my primary point is that they’re not underground, because, you know, swamp:

        The largest system of utilidors is beneath Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, but they are not a basement, contrary to popular belief. Because of an elevated water table, most of these tunnels were actually built at ground level, and the Magic Kingdom was built above that.

          I dated a cast member so i more than once encountered mickey at home (there were like four of them sharing an apartment. anaheim sucks)

            My understanding is the performers and cast members are paid like garbage which is wild considering how much it costs to go to Disney.

              this is true! my friend started in the college program then dropped out to disney full-time. which is i’m sure their goal. we lost touch shortly after we broke up (happiest breakup i’ve ever had) so i have no idea what’s going on in their life. alls i know is they got my favorite chinese restaurant turned into a church and i hate them.

              hold on hold on hold maybe i should write a song about how much i hate this girl.

        There isn’t much about Disney World that isn’t impressive from engineering, logistics, infrastructure, surveillance, and customer experience perspectives.

        It’s a Damm impressive operation.

      I read somewhere that yes, there is indeed a dungeon, a network of dungeons actually. The park is essentially on the second level, the first level is the underground network actors use to move around the park discreetly.

        I’ve heard that too. I’ve also heard about the sophisticated trash system that’s allegedly there. but if you look at an aerial photo of the place, it’s pretty clear that almost all of the attractions are accessible from the outside edges of the park, so I suspect that the tunnels are limited if they exist at all.

          They’re not top secret, but you’ve guessed right all along.

          It’s more of a mixture of tunnels, backstage corridors between attractions, and open areas within internal attraction-voids.

          As in, there really are tunnels, but no one with any knowledge on the subject never claimed the whole thing was tunnels.

          EDIT: Actually, you’re both right in parts because in large portions also have the whole elevated by one level thing, and the “outside” is really the second story. I skimmed that critical part on the first look at the wiki.
