Seriously, who needs to record someone without the knowledge of the person being recorded? That’s a big red flag, a perverted character, there’s no other explanation. Creepy Mark Zuckerberg allowed other creepy characters to share personal moments with him.
I got a pair of them a little over a year ago for filming myself skateboarding when the homies aren’t around to help film. It’s cool to see from a first person perspective but the novelty kinda wore off and I rarely use them now. I occasionally bring them out on nature tours to film cool shots of swimming in natural pools right up to waterfalls. I’ve found the best use cases are when being hands-free is important for the shot. I don’t like wearing them in public places unless I forget my other sunglasses. The hands-free audio for phone calls is kinda cool, oh!! I’ve also done a video chat with my SO while going through her boxes in a storage unit on the other side of the country so she could tell me what to bring home. That was super helpful actually. But yeah, overall they are definitely going to be misused in awful ways by creeps a whole lot more than they’ll get used for useful stuff like this so I am not advocating for their existence. Much like AI, people simply can’t be trusted with having this tech.
