How TF does this happen to a book sitting in your hands? I have never had this happen to any of my books, hardcover or paperback.
I have dropped a book into the bath. Strictly speaking it wasn’t unavailable, but it was unreadable.
But at least it was your own fault. Much easier to forgive yourself than a global kafkaesque system of greed-driven bureaucracy.

My epub calibre also shows no signs of manipulation in the timestamps…Very weird…
