The Zealand referred to in New Zealand is in fact Zeeland, they just changed the spelling.

New Zealand was named Nova Zeelandia by Dutch cartographers which was then Anglicised to New Zealand. It’s named after the Dutch province. Denmark had nothing to do with it.
