Yeah, I keep playing with the various
convertoptions including color count, dithering, etc., trying to keep the sizes small. webms do it better, but as “videos” they are subject to different permissions that don’t allow for easy viewing in some cases.mp4 with h264 plays well in almost everything, and will be a fraction of the size.
