I usually do my best to just take an extra wide berth to get by. It’s usually only going to happen late at night or so when it’s super quiet, so in that case I will just cross the street myself.
Kinda just signalling, don’t worry I want nothing to do with you. It helps lull them into a sense of security.

I was living in South Africa at the time, and went to Kruger 😅
In spite of the elephant incident, honestly one of the best places on the planet. Highly recommend.

Because it’s in this thread. So clearly this thread triggered that thought. This isn’t a “what are your general issues with the fediverse”.

What? I don’t see that being the case her. There are lots of really interesting stories you get from this kind of question

When I was sitting in the car, parked, engine off. And some incoming pickup pissed off the elephant and he turned towards us…

Shoes belong in the entryway. Socks in the bedroom. Socks will always be put on before shoes.
There are a couple of niche situations where one might put socks and shoes on at the same time/place, but the norm of socks first then travelling to the shoes dictates that socks first, shoes after.
The one exception is when for example, changing in a public space, or outside, where you don’t want to get your sock dirty, so you put sock then shoe and then sock then shoe

At the end of the day it’s the fundamental issue of allowing all infrastructure to be owned by any individual or small group of individuals

Its 100% worth it to clean and regrease the bearings in your bike’s axles (if they are open bearing). And it’s really not a hugely intensive process.
I’ve been going down a massive rabbit hole of bicycle stuff, and it’s really similar to the older days of pc building, lots of possibilities for upgrades, lots of brands, compatibility is pretty wide but also needs to be paid attention to.
It’s loads of fun.
It’s quite well established that it’s a British dish. Curry in general isn’t, but Tikka masala is. It’s like Canada claiming Pizza Hawaii.
