You think the investing you’re doing today is the same they did in the 9th century? I thought it was obvious we were talking about stock investing (on the account of you telling me to invest in stocks), which didn’t even exist until the late 18th century.
You can’t just take some broad strokes definition of investment to make a point how a specific type of investing doesn’t make you a bad person. Had you said “take that money and go to school” that would he investing in yourself and I wouldn’t have an issue with that kind of “investment” advice. But that wasn’t the investment advice you gave.

When you explain them leftist policies they will almost always be in favor of those. If through your own labor you’re able to afford a house, fancy clothes, fancy car or champagne then that does not contradict something like Marxism. We are not the same because what “wealth” I’ve amassed I’ve done so almost exclusively through my own labor. I’ve let money “go to waste” because I decided to keep it in my bank account instead of throwing it all into investment funds that would’ve almost tripled it in value because I know where that value comes from. Not in a million year would I seriously tell someone to rob from the poor like you have. I’m not some hero of the oppressed. Me showing some spine and sticking to my moral code doesn’t make a hero, except in your eyes. So you calling me a hero for that says more about you than it does about me.
First of all, I’m not poor. I come from a poor family but I was blessed with a sharp mind and I’ve been lucky enough that my hard work has given me a rather good life. Due to my life experience I’m acutely aware of not just how incredibly privileged my life is but also how there are people who start from an even worse position than me and will never get to experience a life where they don’t have to worry about whether they can afford to eat, pay rent (let alone own a house) and have clothes on their back. So yeah, excuse me for both having enough empathy to understand the struggles of others and enough privilege to not perpetuate it.
As for awful people, if there’s a beggar on the street shifting through trash to find recyclable bottles or anything to make money and someone comes and takes some of their money would you not consider that kind of a person awful? And yet that’s what investors do, not with just the poor but with everyone who works for a living. Every cent you make from stocks is a cent you take out of the pocket of someone significantly poorer than you.
I’m not going to tell you stop investing. You want a lavish lifestyle that’s how you get a lavish lifestyle. All I’m doing is pointing out that your vanity comes from robbing the poorest of us. If you don’t like being called an awful person maybe don’t do awful things?
I’d rather struggle and have empathy for my fellow worker than be like you who thinks we should be ripping off the poor people.

I don’t want to build wealth, I want to live a fulfilling life and I want everyone else to live a fulfilling life. My fulfillment shouldn’t come at the expense of others.
Even then nothing would happen because modern day capitalists are like kings and kings don’t get held accountable.
This has me torn. On the one hand 8k a year just to have a vacation sounds a lot. On the other hand, should we really be accepting concessions on our lives when we know the main reason we need to do monetary concessions is because the fruits of our labor get siphoned from us?
Maybe I’m just too poor to comprehend that 8k vacations should be the norm. Or maybe 8k is too much.
I will add that it’s Minecraft-like only graphically. Anyone going into Vintage Story expecting their Minecraft knowledge to carry over is going to have a very bad time because the actual overlap is minimal.
