100% behind phone lockers, but, I do agree the price seems too high for this specific implementation. Looks like those hold ~250 phones each and I’m going to guess should cost $500-$1,000 per locker. A school should only be spending $5k-50k on these lockers.

am a developer with a few big projects under my belt
I’ve got quite a bit of experience with Linux and I manage a home server, but that probably doesn’t differentiate me much
It 100% does if you target small companies. Think 5-30 man shows where ‘IT department’ is a luxurious dream. In that company you wear many hats and having IT/devops experience as a programmer is a big deal. You will instantly be one of the most experienced people in the small company when wearing the IT hat.
If it’s so hard for fresh CS graduates to get jobs, why would any other option be different?
As you are already in the workforce, stay in it. After having a job for the last year (?) and the option of what to do with the next four years of your life. You can either have 5 years of experience, or you can have 1 year of experience.
Notice how I didn’t mention your degree? A degree is a minor point after you get your first job.

You are WAY better off keeping that job than going to college. You know what is more desirable than someone with one year of experience? Someone with five years of experience. Plus, you won’t have a house payment worth of debt on the other end.

Yep. Someone safely using their gun and teaching others how to safely use theirs can easily go through thousands of rounds in a pretty short time period. Someone murdering with one only needs a few rounds ever. Restricting ammo sale quantity only hurts safe and legal users.

You are talking about input materials for reactor fuel. We are told almost daily about how bad climate change is; why would new fuel inputs be anything notable as nuclear power de-carbonizes the grid?

What is extra frustrating is I have been hearing "we should have done it before, it’s not a good idea anymore” for literal decades now.
Best time to build is 10 years ago. Second best time is today.
Usually those two things are a day apart. The statement has always been: don’t do shit that might get you kids out of wed-lock.
Once you are married, that obviously is no longer an issue.

Strong disagree. Microsoft does this on the regular. They get no credit for their repeated ‘we’re sorry’.
Abstinence only education doesn’t work. Gun safety training is critical for safe use.
Being against gun safety is an extremely counterproductive position.
