I both envy and pity your ability to do this at the same time. Food is such a large part of life and culture. To not experience the veritable cornucopia of flavours and textures out there feel like such a missed opportunity to me.

There is an enormous body of research that clearly demonstrates the positive health impacts of switching out animal-based cooking oils with seed based ones, and for anyone to consider the contrary would require them to willfully ignore the science.

These tax structures exist in the US and other places as well. Besides, the meme referred to income tax so the fact that other taxes exist isn’t immediately relevant here.

And anecdotally, the overall cost of living was less for me in Sweden than it is here in Canada. Taxes don’t tell the entire story.

Unless you’re in some crazy tax bracket, I’m fairly sure most Swedes don’t pay 55% income tax.

I checked Skatteverket’s calculator and if I state that I make 1M SEK per year (104k USD) the taxation rate is 33.8%. Heck, even at 10M SEK it’s so only 50%ish.

Fine. They’ll have AI measure productivity and ask it to defend your position instead.

And management will subsequently ask you why your position shouldn’t be terminated, as you’re clearly not contributing anything.

First you decided to bazooka yourselves in the foot with the Brexit vote, then went through a revolving clown show of increasingly bizarre political sideshow pieces that pretended to be PM, before finally opting to negotiate an EU exist that was about as disastrous as it could’ve been for your economy.

Add in the fact that the entire world has been turning to shit around you due to despotic leaders trying to rape their neighbours/the climate/populace/actual kids/everything joined by a cabal of evil billionaires who are gleefully destroying democracy and the world economy so they can go out in one final last hurrah of capitalism, and you have the audacity to ask “What happened?”?.

I seriously can’t with these “I don’t do politics” idiots anymore.
