Yeah, it’s not a great vehicle. I’m fundamentally very unimpressed with it. Tbh I liked the Renault Captur more than this vehicle. I’ve driven a lot of different models of rentals in the past year, and I’d rank the Qashqai slightly above any of the Mercedes and below the VW family van. Audi at the top of the list, followed by the BMW X1, followed by the Captur.

Meanwhile the Quashqai here in Denmark is roughly $54k USD.

25 Subaru Outback Wilderness- I was backing up to do a u turn since there was a bigass tree down on the trail road I was driving, the radar saw a singular weed on the shoulder and emergency braked. I had my mom in the passenger seat and she thought we had straight up slammed into a log.

I had a literal rage out over that. It kept prompting me to keep both hands on the wheel and I was doing exactly that. It ended up shortening the duration between prompts and then eventually just started beeping loudly at me so I decided to drive like I had Parkinsons, just fucking shaking the wheel constantly through the slop zone until I could find a safe place to pull over and figure out how to turn the fucking thing off.

Oh fuck yeah, I’ll be driving the posted 130km/h and it suddenly catches a fucking 40km/h speed limit sign from a roundabout from fuck-knows-where and tries to e-stop in the middle of the highway. God damnit Nissan. Audi on the other hand works more or less flawlessly. From the lane control to the matrix headlights, I really like the systems on Audi.
I’m certain you have, but it’s worth asking- have you replaced the hvac filters with hepa models? You can also build a cheap air purifier with a box fan and a hepa filter just to run while you’re away and catch anything airborne
there’s probably dog piss in some of the walls too

and Waze is still Israeli spyware.
I went to a burger spot in Prague and they provided everyone with a pair of rubber gloves, and that allowed me to really grab the burger in a way that could be considered primal and hold all of its contents in place. I didn’t lose my tomato that time, so that was nice. I mean, I don’t like the single use waste, but it was so convenient.

Infiniti? I hate that fuckin’ auto reset speed warning every single time I turn the car on. I’m so glad my personal vehicle doesn’t have that.
