I have a Corsi-Rosenthal box, but that does nothing for smells.

It does something by reducing the amount of stuff in the air before it settles, so I would keep using it regularly anytime there are poor air conditions. It certainly won’t solve the problem on its own. The molecules do get trapped in the filters though, so it might need to have those changed if the box itself starts to get an odor when not running.

The smells from stuff that has settled on surfaces or embedded itself in furniture or other porous surfaces will need to be removed and approaches that work well for pet smells should work for industrial smells. Wiping down surfaces, vacuuming and mopping, steam cleaning furniture and carpets, and other things will help improve things. Odor neutralizes like febreeze can help a lot too.

The school has far fewer land lines and support staff than they did when I went to school and parents are already used to making contact via phones and other devices. They will be getting a ton of calls and kids trying to call out. They will adapt eventually, but it will start off as a shitshow.

Apartments here are ridiculous. I can get a home loan with payments half of a comparable apartment. Yes, I would be responsible for maintenance but I’ve owned before and it is still less expensive than renting even with maintenance.

I haven’t run into that at my local HyVee for things I purchase. Generally long term things like canned goods go on sale around a year before their best by date to encourage turnover.

Any chain will vary in how well their different locations are managed, sucks that yours is not doing well.
