TL:DR AMDGPU driver started crashing on latest kernel release, it’s reoccurring bug, somewhat of 12309 for amd. It was fixed multiple times and known as:
And after googling if someone also have that bug, I found post on Fedora community site, where first comment not directly about solving a bug, but “akshually” from some nerd. (bug haven’t been solved, but at least nerd shown who is the boss)
God I hate linux community.
Found the pictured thread
Why did you crop out the line directly under where he specifies why he asks?
Unusable? or unusable for gaming? There is a distinct difference in the approach to troubleshooting. It is important to know what games are being played. Native?, using Steam? or something else?
its a valid question though. whats your problem?
youve clearly cut off the rest of the reply too.
“unusable pc” - cant even boot it
“unusable for gaming” - has performance issues
two different problems.
Seems like a valid question, but we don’t have enough info to gauge that.
Context is simple: user have GPU driver crash and considers (rightfully so) PC to be unusable, hence asks for help. There nothing else to it. I see no reason to ask this question on screenshot in that context. Unless you want to sound like a jerk, that is.
Other questions in same comment, like request to add more details or keep dmesg in “code” block — those are valid and I have no issues with that. But this first line sets the tone of the whole comment.
It’s a diagnostic/priority question why does it bother you so much? If you took your car to a mechanic and said it doesn’t work would you be insulted if they asked you if it turned on?
These users are why enshitification exists
Less hating, more meditation.
Instructions unclear: meditation haven’t fixed amdgpu driver, but summoned succubus instead.
Had to ask her leave — she terrible at debugging.
Wonderful day!
…I hate linux community…

It shows, unfortunately. And that means you hate me and many ineffably magnificent people I know… but for what?
If you haven’t still reported/updated the case yourself, please consider not participating in the Community so much, too, just to:
- Preserve your mental health;
- Have more time for improving it yourself;…instead of complaining on public on people, developers, artists behind their back, who’ve been reifying it all for years an almost no monetary support, investing their invaluably precious human life time…
If not, or you still believe in effort, accountability, art, please do consider collecting more likely supportive logs/details and share it in the related issues, if possible.
Meanwhile, I wish you safety, stability, and peace.
I like the irony: you dislike when someone impolite in response to some dev (qa?) message, but not when dev themself being impolite to user.

P.S. I kinda tired to be honest. In early days of 7900xtx’s driver I did helped as mush as I could in corresponding tickets and bug reports, but what the point? This evening, before monday, I just wanted to play damn game. On my damn computer. But no, I got a bug to deal with and first spotted comment is from some unhinged dev. How do you think I feel and how willing I to provide any help with debugging? Nope, I’m done. Will just downgrade and that will become someone else’s problem.
Why do you think the dev (who very well may be unpaid, this is an open-source driver) owes you a solution?
Would you milk a cow for an entire community for free? Would you charge money? How much? If someone didn’t like the milk, would you ask why?
I just wanted to play damn game. On my damn computer. But no, I got a bug to deal with and first spotted comment is from some unhinged dev.
We don’t see enough in the screenshot to feel your outrage. If you mentioned wanting to play a game, it seems reasonable for them to ask for clarification whether your computer is completely unusable or has some functionality.
I don’t think they were trying to correct you, I think they were trying to help you troubleshoot by getting more details about the issue. I could be wrong.
How do you think I feel and how willing I to provide any help with debugging?
I understand the disappointment and frustration. Unfortunately, no one can diagnose your problems from a distance without your cooperation.
I hope you are able to resolve the problem and enjoy your game. I’ve lost my shit for less, and it can be easy to lash out, even at people who are genuinely trying to help us.
No irony here. But just your indifference, bigotry, and hatred… which is sorrowful, indeed, and I am sorry to know that.
You will realize it in the future, I believe, but you should try developing something actually yourself first.
