Seriously, who needs to record someone without the knowledge of the person being recorded? That’s a big red flag, a perverted character, there’s no other explanation. Creepy Mark Zuckerberg allowed other creepy characters to share personal moments with him.
Yes, they block your ears. I can shop with my wife, listen to music and still hear people talking to me just fine. I also use mine when i want to use navigation walking somewhere, it’ll tell me the turns, but won’t be blasting for everyone to hear.
Also being able to answer and talk on your phone just from your glasses is really nice.
Personally, i would love if they released an audio only version. I never use the camera or video function on them so imo its a waste of space to have those.
Bone conduction headphones have existed for a while.
I personally hate them. But you dont need creeper glasses for that feature.
Did you read my other use cases or just answer about listening to music?
I’m not the person you’re replying to, but I’ve owned several pairs of bone conduction headphones, both Alibaba white label stuff and the big brand name. All of them:
They are essentially the “audio only version” of Meta glasses you’re requesting. My current Shokz OpenMove was a big upgrade in Bluetooth range and connection stability from any of the white label stuff, though some of those sounded about as good.
What other uses did you state that traditional bone conducting headphones can’t do? Or any of the many audio only fashion glasses?
You paid a premium to one of the worst corporations to have a feature you claim not to want?
I didn’t pay premium, my health plan covers vision and they were dirt cheap. I picked up gen 1 glasses before there were audio only fashion glasses.
Go ahead and tell me what else I did since you seem to think you know me so well.
I don’t think I know you at all, I’m responding strictly to what you said…
Gen 1 was released in 2023 at $299. Before then, you could buy a Razer Anzu for $200, a Fauna for $299 if you wanted better “luxury” than the RayBan logo on the shitty meta glasses, or a JLab JBuds Frames for $50 if all you cared about are the things you said you cared about.
It’s okay to have been uninformed, it’s okay that you didn’t know there were other options. It’s not okay to gaslight everyone by pretending the meta glasses invented a solution for the use cases you listed…
I have Nothing headphones personally which I use with transparency mode, and it works perfectly fine for everything you said you needed your camera equipped glasses for… You wanted smart glasses, that’s alright to say, but it certainly isn’t only solution to your needs.
